Deaf Day at Disneyland
“Thank you to Black and Gold for providing a donation toward the ASL Club Deaf Day at Disneyland trip! With your help we were able to take 50 students and chaperones to Disneyland on March 2, 2024 to enjoy a variety of activities: enhanced ASL-interpreted parades, ADA accessibility identification activities, and more.”
Every year, fifty SLOHS Harvard Model Congress Club members go to San Francisco to attend a United States Congress simulation put on by Harvard University.

At Harvard Model Congress, students learn about a multitude of things, ranging from the legislative process to historical events to the machinations of the Supreme Court and the World Bank. SLOHS students build their public speaking skills while discussing real-world events and issues pertinent to their lives and the future.
